President Poroshenko offers Parliament Michael Koval release from the duties of defense minister. A draft resolution he submitted to the Parliament on July 3. Another document Poroshenko invites the Council to appoint a defense minister Valery Geletey.

Smith served as Minister of Defence from 25 March.
